I love my life:
I spent Monday recovering from the race weekend and working.
Tuesday was spent at the pool with Nikkala and the boys.
Then grilled pizza with the Stephens, Tameka and Katelin. Then off to Chris's city league softball game-- a win!
Wednesday was the ultimate lazy day, where I didn't shower until late afternoon, just making sure I was presentable when the husband got home.
Thursday I helped Nikkala with science camp in the morning.
We spent the afternoon at the pool. I find it funny that I had considered Wednesday a lazy day, but going to the pool doesn't count as lazy. When I commented how the nephews have the life--I'll feed them when they are little towel mummies-- Nikkala popped some granola bar in my mouth.
Some visiting teaching, then church softball provided dinner and a fun night-- and another win for the week!
Friday Chris and I watched Man on Wire and attended the temple. We ate dinner in the living room in front of the TV.
Saturday was spent with a whole slew of high school friends, hanging out at the river and soaking up the sun. And then at a couple of wedding receptions.
It's a tough life, but I'll be a willing volunteer as long as I live here and have the opportunity. Oh man, I'm going to miss this when it's gone. And it's going fast.
{Don't worry, my unproductive week was a bit of an anomaly. But with temperatures still rising, our swamp cooler out of commission and the owners none-too-eager to replace it, my time at the pool might hold steady. At least until the packing monster rears its ugly head.}

hey, those are some of my high school friends too! i was sad we couldn't get there in time. it does sounds like a pretty hard life.
Your life is harder than you let on. Remember how you babysat all day Friday?
You have it way too easy :) It's good you get to relax and do lots of fun summer-y things before you have to pack up and leave town...I am happy I got to see you!!
AWW high school friends. how fun! I am not good at keeping in touch with friends. If only I could be more like you, until you have to pack. Good luck with the move.
