Self Awareness

Millie is growing and developing by leaps and bounds lately. It's really amazing to watch her. (Though learning to climb up on things? That could wait until she's about 6, as far as I'm concerned.)

Lately she's learned who she is and will say her name when asked "Where's Millie?" or when she sees herself in the mirror. It's pretty cute.

This weekend she really wanted to call Papa, but I knew my parents were gone to a family reunion so I distracted her by letting her see herself in the camera and filming it. Thank you forward facing camera for this gem.

She melts my heart.

Even better than filming it was playing it back and her watching it. She would do almost identical gestures and say her name whenever I would ask. She's so rad!
